Jolina Mania!

i thought i was over on liking jolina magdangal (coz i've been a jolina fan b4 i started liking kpop). but when i saw a poster of her (promotion of her album mall tour), a day b4 d promotion of her new album (mall tour), i just decided to go on her show just to see her once more (in person) for d 3rd time. coz d last i've seen her was in year 2000, and i'm just 14 yrs old dat time. also, i'm very curious how she looks like these days...

ok, d day was may 21, 2006, i came in sm north edsa food court at around 2:00 pm. d show will start at 5 pm so i decided to buy her album first (near d entrance of d stage), coz u have to buy one in order to get near d stage and be able to meet and greet jolina up-close and personal (including d autograph signing).

i entered d main stage's seats at around 3:00 pm coz there r people who started sitting infront.
i sit ofcourse on d first row, center, so i can really see jolina up-close while performing. but i didn't bring a camera on me coz my sis (misu') doesn't want to go with me, dat means no one will take a picture of me with jolens... hu... hu...

ok, finally it was 5 pm and people filled d place. i never thought, there r still lots of fans out there of jolina... and what makes me happy is that there are young children, like 6-12 years old which are huge jolina fans. there are also, around my age who started liking jolina since d year 1997 and 1998, and also, there r lots of middle age people, who r actually a lot older than jolens...

d first part of d show was some games and a dj from 101.1 was d m.c. poor me i didn't get any prize coz i'm shy to stand and run just to say d right answer to d m.c. also, it's bcoz i didn't know d latest info about jolina since she transfered from abs-cbn to gma 7.

at last, jolina finally came out on stage and my heart started beating so fast. it was d first time to see her on a live performance. people r screaming her name and saying she's pretty... and yeah, i can't believe it, i finally saw her again for d last 6 years. she's still very pretty, cute and energetic. also, even though she's like 2 meters away from me, i can smell her perfume. and i guess d scent was filling d place...

while she's performing, it just brings back memories... those days when i'm very much addicted to her: when i keep buying all d records like osts and albums where she has some songs on it; when i'm waiting patiently on watching tv and hoping to see some commercial or music videos of her; when i'm collecting every single picture i saw on magazines, newspapers, brochures, etc; and d feeling i felt when i first saw her in person-- when she speaks to me, and greeted me a 'Happy Birthday,' the no. of times she called my name, ‘Tini,’ and the way how she entertained me on dat fan meeting (year 2000). i can still remember how she spoke on polite words dat time (year 2000) , how she use the ‘Po” and ‘Opo,’ and when she told me ‘Huwag ka naman manigas diyan… Nakakatakot ba 'ko?,’ coz dat tym, when i 1st saw her, i was so speechless and just smiles back to her. also, she was always smiling…

back to my own senses, i just realized she still has so many fans… and jolina was still the same old jolina i met, in person, 6 years ago. she’s still act like a kid, she’s still simple but at d same time trendy… and she’s d only filipino artist whom i can smell human (if u know what I mean)… d way she speak is so natural, it feels like she’s just an ordinary person… she is so down-to-earth and dat’s y she captured d heart of d masses. young and old… everyone likes her…

d show was finally over, i think she performed 3-5 songs all in all. time for autographed signing and to get up-close and personal with jolina. all her fans who bought her albums at d entrance were asked to form only one line. i can say, filipino people are always a big headeache. they don’t follow rules and complain a lot… pushing and bumping to each other is always expected in a show like this. but i still have to get on, coz i want to get close to jolens one more time. finally, it was me infront of her for d autograph. she’s signing my cd now and d poster which was given for free. wah.. she’s really so pretty. oh…she didn’t even look at me while signing, so, i have to say something to her so she would look at me… ok, i said “Domo eppuda!.” well, ofcourse she wouldn’t understand that coz it’s korean. so she lifted her head and looked at me, she said “Ano?” but this time i said, “Ur very pretty!,” coz i don’t have much time to say so many things to her… and dat words given me her cute and bright smile and she said, “Ay, thank u!” i was so happy to hear dat from her… gosh, that moment was so fast, and it’s time for me to get off d stage… he… he… i didn’t even get d courage to kiss her or hold her hands or something… guess i’m still like d old tini way back d year 2000 (14 years old) when seeing her in person—u know too shy to speak or even hold her hands… but waiting for her for 3 hours is worth while… i got up-close and personal with her, i got her 3 autographs (on d poster, on d cd cover & on d cd itself) and i got d chance to say something to her… after dat, i’m out of stage but i still don’t want to go back home… i want to see her off… but i guess that’s it, i have to leave and just keep d memories.

dat moment was so fast-- the show, the autograph signing and everything. it's just, i couldn't hardly imagine d way she looks now, on dat show, in detail. i can’t remember her hairstyle, but atleast i can remember dat she wore a plain and simple t-shirt and maong pants dat time; i could smell her perfume all over d place and she just put a little make-up on with a pink-glittering lipstick…

but i admit, d intensity of feeling of meeting jolina for d 1st time (year 2000) was more intense than meeting her again after 6 years. and although i don’t idolized her so much like b4 right now, i still give her my respect. coz she’s one of d few filipino artists who remained d clean and wholesome image through out… and i salute her for that… and that what makes me a jolina fan until now coz she’s very wholesome…

in addition and to be honest, i think d way how much i like jolina b4 can’t be compared to d way i like kpop artists now. it's like d ratio of 100 % is to 50 % (jolina: kpop artists).

and if BoA for me is d No.1 Kpop Artist, then Jolina Magdangal is d No.1 Filipno Artist of all time…

well, b4 anyone else disagree and kill me... plz bear w/ me... i know this two korean stars are definitely different from each other

at d present, Park Shin-hye is 16 years of age (17 years old-korean age) & BoA, 19 years old (21 years old-korean age)

when i watched Park Shin-Hye in 'Stairway to Heaven,' the young version of d leading actress, for me she doesn't look dat good, but after i've seen her more, i realized she's really cute and pretty...

anyway, dat's not d point... d point is Park Shin-Hye resembles Kwon BoA when BoA was still young (like 13-16 years old) maybe because of d shape of their face & also d cleft chin, so i see BoA in Park Shin-hye...

her latest series, 'Heaven's Tree/Tree of Heaven' is one of my fav k-drama...

and i luv this series, she really acted well on this and cried a lot from d very beginning up to d end...

this is a must watch... u know i'm not into "heartbreaking dramas" but 'Heaven's Tree' really caught my attention...

the two main characters, Park Shin-hye & Lee Wan, will capture every viewers attention bcoz they really portrayed well d deep, innocent & pure feelings-- love, of d two lovers (at a young age, 18-20 & 20-22 years old)...

Lee Wan (이완) and Park Shin Hye (박신혜) have been casted for the new drama, 'Heaven's Tree.'

'Heaven's Tree,' the filming of which took place in January of 2006, was the finale of the Heaven Series by Lee Jung Soo PD-- Beautiful Days, Stairway to Heaven and now Heaven's Tree-- and was 10 episodes long.

It's a heartbreaking love story between two siblings --their Korean father and Japanese mother remarried to each other and thus the two have become step siblings. In the drama, Lee Wan (이완) plays Yoon Suh (윤서) who as a child, shows great potential as an artist, but as he grows up he leaves home and joins the "Yakouzas" or becomes one of the 야쿠자 (i believe it was a notorious gang in Japan), but keeps his step sister deep in his heart.

Hana (하나), his japanese step sister, doomed to share the ill-fated love relationship with Lee Wan, was played by Park Shin Hye (박신혜) who also acted in 'Stairway to Heaven,' 'To be cute or to be crazy' and etc.

Heaven's Tree was written by Moon Hee Jung and Kim Nam Hee who also wrote Stairway to Heaven, through which Kwon Sang Woo became one of the Hanryu (한류) stars. It was aired in February of 2006 after SBS's 'My Girl.'
