Hollywood Bowl 2007 Electrified! + BoAjjang Fans Reunite
BoA's fans from the US and beyond gathered to see the Korean songstress in full force at 2007's Hollywood Bowl, held in Los Angeles, California. Amongst the roaring crowds were BoAjjang's own staff and members, namely: kuraudo, Naruta-chan, boanjel, hypergirl09, BoAfriend, drummakid, Lilaznstar, volt720, and others, yet to be named. Needless to say, it was a joyous occasion that each and every one of them will cherish for a lifetime.
The BoAjjang faithful was not the only group reunified. A similar feat occurred with another famous, better-known team...a handful from the classic SM Town gang, which included Eugene from S.E.S, as well as Hwanhee (Fany) and Brian from Fly To The Sky -- a magnificent sight indeed. Eugene and Brian, both of which are fluent English-speakers, MCed a great night of entertainment.
The night started off with the host country's national anthem, a message of grace to Asian Americans' second homeland, and onwards with a barrage of power-packed performances kicked off by the male heartthrobs, SuperJunior. R&B sensations, Fly To The Sky, newcomers Big Bang, and rap phenoms Epik High then lit up the show. Shortly hereafter, and what seemed to be the moment that all were waiting for -- it was BoA's time to shine.
Her dancers came on stage, geared up for the intro, and out came the K-Pop Queen. With male jaws dropping and anticipation rising, the ultimate showstopper finally arrived. BoA was on stage! First up was Girls On Top. T'was sung with maturity, and danced powerfully, as if she was marking her territory, proving why she's at the top of any elite entertainers list. There were "oohs" and there were "aaahs" -- definitely a heart-pumping experience for one dazzled staffer. BoA then gave a brief speech, thanking everyone who showed up at the event. (Although we were the ones who should've been thanking her, we'll take it!)
Luckily, BoA's appearance was more than just a single song. We were blessed with a medley reminiscent of her earlier hits : No.1 and Valenti. This was easily one of her best performances, ever. She simply tore up the stage like it was never torn before. Think of her spectacular dancing on the Korean weekly stages, combined with the force and soulfulness of her Japanese concerts - the energy was truly insane! Lastly, and definitely a good choice for a closer was MOTO. Journalistic-neutrality aside, this was just the bomb. Fans were screaming, and everyone was clearly having a blast from this exhiliriating display of excellence.
As with all BoA-crazy individuals, we all wanted to take photographs of the gorgeous lady. Thankfully boanjel and bluepanda had their flashy equipment ready. After it was all said, sung, and done, this is a time when we think to ourselves on how lucky we are to have a performer like BoA in our time. Once again, she makes her fans here at BoAjjang proud of who we cherish, idolize, and ultimately love to death. Keep rockin' on BoA!
