News: What Do Artists Think of BoA?

Having conquered both the K-Pop and J-Pop market, BoA is obviously an object of admiration for those who aspire to become singers. It is also already well known that BoA is a good friend of artists such as Matsuura Aya and Lee Hyori, who last week revealed her attempt at hooking BoA up with Lee Junki, a Korean actor. But what do other artists who are not particularly close to BoA think of her?

Japanese boyband w-inds, for one, seems to think very highly of BoA. In a recent interview with Yonhap News, w-inds said that BoA's ability to sing and dance at the same time serves as a "motivator" for them, so they always monitor BoA's concert DVDs and promotional videos.

Younha, a Korean songbird who has had moderate success in both Korea and Japan, also praised BoA, confessing that she was a huge fan of BoA even when she was in elementary school. "Had BoA not cleared the way for fellow Korean artists to break into the Japanese market, then I wouldn't have had the same level of success that I achieved in Japan last year," said Younha in an interview with JoongAng Ilbo.

But she admits that being dubbed "the second BoA" by the media, presumably due to her early debut age, has not exactly been a blessing. "BoA and I have different styles of music. It is unfortunate that some people just dismiss my music because of that prejudice." She said that while she was grateful to be compared with a super star, she would like to be judged by her music itself, not by how much her music resembles that of BoA.

it was a code for "I love you" back in the pager days.

honestly, Younha is better than BoA in singing, i mean, Younha is not just any jpop/kpop singer, she can really sing high notes. also, i think she speaks english coz she can sing fluently in english. but i dunno if she can out-dance BoA in dancing...

info about d artist: Younha (Japanese: ユンナ, Yunna, Korean: Go Youn-ha-고윤하), born April 29, 1988 in Seoul, Korea, is a K-Pop and J-Pop singer.

Younha made her debut as an artist at the young age of sixteen. Nicknamed the "Oricon comet" for her success in Japan[1], she has currently released eight singles and two albums with varying degrees of success; however, many of her songs have been featured in animes/dramas. Although she is often compared to BoA because she is a Korean who is active in Japan, speaks Japanese well, and is also one of the few Koreans to rank on the Oricon chart, there are significant differences in musical style and performance.

Younha began to compose her own music recently. The song "Kaerimichi" released on her fifth single "My Lover" is the first song released for which she wrote the lyrics and composed the music for. In addition, she composed the music for the song "homegirl" released on "Te wo Tsunaide".

Exactly 2 months after "Hakanaku Tsuyoku", Younha went back to her home country to release her first Korean Album entitled 고백하기 좋은 날 (Go Baek Ha Gi Jo Eun Nal, translated "A Good Day to Confess"). She recorded a MV for the third track "비밀번호 486" (Bi Mil Bun Ho 486, translated "Password 486") which stars fellow Stam artist Yoon Ji Hoo. The video featured many image changes for Younha which include her first ever kiss. The album also features a collaboration with Wheesung.

Younha is signed to Epic Records, which is owned by Sony Music Japan. Her Korean agency is Stam Entertainment.

one of my fav anime' so far...

u'll definitely luv this series even though ur not into action

also, the characters were very cool, especially Hagi/Haji...

in addition, the ost is great... u'll definitely love d songs, such as, Aozora no Namida, My Answer, This Love (which is my fav) and Brand New Map
